Your donation supports educational programs for children and young adults served through LightUpKids, a program of The Lighthouse Educational Foundation, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Funds are used for:

  • Scholarships and educational assistance

  • Safe learning environments

  • Mentorship and academic support

  • Emergency educational support for families

  • Assistance for young adults completing their education or professional training

2. Is my donation secure?

Yes. All online donations are processed securely through Stripe, a global, encrypted payment platform.

LightUpKids and The Lighthouse Educational Foundation do not store credit card or bank information.

3. Will I receive a donation receipt?

Yes. You will receive an automatic digital receipt immediately after donating.

Your receipt includes:

  • Donation amount

  • Date of donation

  • Transaction ID

  • Legal organization name: The Lighthouse Educational Foundation, Inc.

This receipt may be used for your personal records and tax purposes.

The Lighthouse Educational Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization recognized by the State of Florida.

Donations made through LightUpKids, a program of The Lighthouse Educational Foundation, Inc., are tax-deductible.

5. Can I sponsor a specific child or student?

At this time, we do not offer one-to-one child sponsorships.

To protect student privacy, ensure fairness, and comply with nonprofit best practices, donations support programs rather than individual students.

However, donors may choose to support focus areas, such as:

  • Children at risk of dropping out

  • Low-income families

  • Emergency educational assistance

  • Young adults completing college, vocational, or professional training

Your gift is directed where the need is greatest and the impact is highest.

6. Can I make a recurring monthly donation?

Yes. Our donation system allows:

  • One-time donations

  • Monthly recurring donations

  • Custom donation amounts

You may cancel or modify recurring donations at any time using the link provided in your receipt.

Refunds are considered in limited circumstances, such as:
